What comes in a banner kit?

Each banner kit comes with all the fabrics, trims, full size patterns, embellishments, and instructions. Some of the lay out work or cutting may be pre-done depending on the kit. Any hand-painted items are already for cutting out and applying to the banner.

What does the word "reference" mean when it appears in the "On the reverse" section?

This means that there is only the reference letters to be applied on the back of the banner instead of a full verse.

How hard are the kits to assemble?

"Beginner" means this is a great kit to start with. It won't have difficult processes nor will it be very time involved

"Intermediate" is for those who have banner making experience. The kit may use more difficult techniques, and will probably involve more time to complete.

"Experienced" means the kite requires either more time or techniques that require more experience working with luxury fabrics.

All chapel kits are at a " beginners" level.

How much sewing is involved in the kit?

All banners require a sewn in casing for the rod and is not included in the kits. We can install this for you for an additional charge of $15.00 per banner. If there are any veils included, you will need to narrow hem them, either by machine or by hand. Several of the kits have objects that must be quilted, and if so, all materials are provided.

The construction of banners, while using basic craft and sewing knowledge, requires that you use different techniques. We have proven these techniques and urge you to follow the instructions provided with each kit. While some processes may seem to be redundant or tedious, we can assure they work. Never use hot glue on a banner.
